Nineteen well-deserving racing legends were inducted into the Iowa Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Briggs Woods Conference Center in Webster City.    The newest Hall of Fame Class includes Jeff Anderson, Ron Barker, Brian Birkhofer, Doug Clark, Edison Dye, Pat Fagen, Gavin Faith, Em Fretheim, Bobby Greiner Jr., Bob Hilmer, Butch Householder, Carl Moyer, Dan Nesteby, Everett Sather, Dick Schiltz, Scotty Slawson, Danny Wallace, Jim Wyman, and Ted Zieman.  We all enjoyed a night sharing racing stories, reminiscing about the good ‘ole days, and honoring this group of Iowa racing legends.  We also paid tribute to our dear friend, Bill Haglund, who passed away earlier in the year.  Through his written words and thousands of photos, Bill proved how very important the racing community was to him.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

It also takes an enthusiastic team with passion and respect to put together this very special celebration for the legends and heroes who have made such a huge impact on racing in Iowa.  The Board of Directors would like to thank the following “pit crew” members for being such an important part of this ceremony:  Brennen DeCoursey, Karlee DeCoursey, Andrew Creger, Paul DeCoursey, Heather Ochs, Klane Dushek, Tina and Brant Farrand, Todd and Sam Foster, Dick and Crystal Griffith, Curt and Lisa Miller, Mike and Marji Smith, the staff of Briggs Woods Conference Center, Choice Printing, and Optic Ink.

We are currently accepting nomination forms for the 2024 Hall of Fame Class.  Nomination forms can be printed from under the Hall of Fame tab on our website or they can be mailed or emailed to you by request.  Nominations are due by March 31, 2024 and our 2024 Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Briggs Woods Conference Center in Webster City, Iowa.
