Hall of Fame Nomination
The Iowa Hall of Fame now consists of 137 individuals after the 2025 Hall of Fame Class of fourteen (14) inductees was recently announced. The Board of Directors is dedicated to honoring Iowa’s racing legends and heroes and preserving Iowa’s rich racing history for future generations. While the inventory of the Racing Museum is located Algona, administration of the Iowa Hall of Fame will remain in Otho and Webster City.
Nominations for inductees are to be submitted by completing the nomination form online. The deadline for accepting nominations for the 2026 Hall of Fame will be March 31, 2026.
Your nominee(s) will not be considered unless the form is completed and submitted by the deadline.Nomination forms with only a name will not be accepted. Also, texting a name or making a comment that someone is deserving does not fulfill the nomination requirements.
Nominees must meet one of the following criteria:
• Drivers 50 years of age and older, retired or actively racing
• Drivers under 50 years of age must not have been actively racing on a regular basis for a minimum of five (5) years
• A person may be nominated posthumously
• Nominees must have made a strong impact on racing in Iowa
All nominations will be reviewed, and the final inductees will be named by the Board of Directors of the Iowa Hall of Fame and Racing Museum. We strive to ensure that our Hall of Fame selections represent the entire racing community and all areas of Iowa. The total number of inductees may vary depending on the number of nominations, categories being represented with nominations, tied results, etc. but shall be between twelve and twenty new inductees each year.
Nominations for 2026 shall be accepted in the following eight (8) categories:
1. Drivers Pre -1990
2. Drivers 1990-Present
3. Owner/Builder/Car Sponsor
4. Promoter/Official/Media
5. Motorcycle
6. Figure 8
7. Drag Racing
8. Other – Fan, Crew Member, Mechanic, Boat Racing, Go-Karts, Event or Series Sponsor, etc.
